An alternative to the car is of course the bike and what could be better than a bike? An electric bike of course! What else can get you around easier or quicker (or make you look as chic) as a bike of the electric variety? French company Citydoo has recently launched this slick electric bike called the Elektroon.

The Elektroon initially relies on your own pedal power to get you started, and after this you can eventually reach speeds of up to 40 mph and the battery will keep you going for about 80 miles.

plugging it into a standard wall outlet for six hours gets you re-charged and good to go again. Silent and clean, it's an eco-friendly and chic alternative to get you around town.
