If the Lexus CT 200h F Sport were competing in the 2012 Olympic Games in London, she would be running in the 100 metre sprint. The Lexus Ct 200h covers all the attributes of a female sprinter – nimble, fast and sporting a big booty.

As a premium compact hybrid, she would be leaving her competitors in the dust. In fact, they probably wouldn’t even bother showing up for the race. Not only does she exude the Lexus’s typical characteristics – after-sale pampering, sleek exterior and luxurious interior – but her starting price is $40,000, which immediately gives her more bang out of the starting gate.

With a Hybrid Synergy Drive system, the Lexus CT 200h is capable of pure electric running and features technology which allows the driver to switch to ‘ECO’ mode for fuel efficient driving. With an Atkinson cycle 1.8L four cylinder petrol engine hooked up to a 60kW/207Nm electric motor, all up power is 100kW and a peak torque of 142 Nm. Put the pedal to the floor and the Lexus CT 200h will jump from zero to 100km in 10.3 seconds – and there will be no photo finish needed.

Considered a small car, the Lexus CT 200h is verging on mid-sized  and doesn’t look like your typical ‘sports’ car. The newest member to the Lexus family, she is the first example of the company’s global rebrand, seen by the newly styled ‘L’ on the grill. The interiors are up to scratch for Lexus quality with plenty of legroom, adjustable seating and a dashboard of electronics which look like a cinema complex. And while she drives from the front, she’s powered from behind. Her booty has plenty to show off, with a 375 litre luggage compartment.
