3 words to describe the Hyundai i20?
Compact, athletic, funky.
What was your first impression of the new Hyundai i20?
Move over Herbie the flying car and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the Hyundai i20 is a car that has personality with a capital P. If personified, the Hyundai i20 would be the type of person that has a great sense of style, that’s always on the go and that lives life to the fullest.
The Hyundai i20 is perfect for driving to work, driving you and your friends to the movies or taking a day-trip up the coast. It’s a small, zippy car that can move around corners easily and fits into the smallest parks. But take this car on a shopping spree and you’ll easily be able to fit all your new goodies in!
What about the interior?
On the outside, the Hyundai i20 is small and compact; on the inside it’s a different story. The i20 has leg room, head room and shoulder room a plenty! The interior of the Hyundai i20 will make you feel comfortable, relaxed and at ease – the i20 is your home away for home.
Through its contemporary furnishings, the interior of the Hyundai i20 is sporty, fun and vibrant!
How’s the drive?
i20 and the city: sharp turns, closed roads and heavy traffic, the Hyundai i20 has got you covered! Its power steering and tight turning diameter will ensure your city driving experience is smooth as silk.
i20 and the open road: Rocky, dirt roads of country driving are never a hindrance when you are driving a Hyundai i20. Driver stability in the i20 keeps unexpected and dangerous road situations under control. The i20 turns rough roads smooth.
What are the funkiest features of the new Hyundai i20?
- iPod and USB connectivity
- Keyless entry
- Power windows
- Folding power mirrors (say goodbye to a passerby knocking them off)
- Steering wheel auto controls
- Shopping bag hooks
- Glove box with cooling system (hello ice-cool drinks fresh from your car on those hot days).
It’s gorgeous and stylish but is it safe?
The Hyundai i20 has a 5-star ANCAP rating! A car can’t any safer than this!
With a reinforced body with front and rear crumple zones and impact intrusive bars on the doors, the i20 has extra protection really built into it.
With 6 air bags in total, the i20 will protect you from all angles in the case of an accident.
Will your wallet love this car as much as you do?
You bet! The i20 range starts at $14,990 for the i20 Active 1.4-litre petrol manual 3-door model up to $23,490 for the top of the line i20 Premium 1.6-litre petrol automatic. Optional metallic / mica paint is available for $320.
Styles?
The Hyundai i20 comes in 3 models:
Active: Available in either 3-door or 5-door, 1.4-petrol engine, 5-speed manual or 4-speed auto.
Elite (the Active but with trip computer and leather wrap steering wheel): Available in 5-door, 1.6-petrol engine, 5-speed manual or 4-speed auto.
Premium (the elite but more stylish with full leather upholstery): Available in 4-door, 1.6-petrol engine, 5-speed manual or 4-speed auto.
Colours?
Black Diamond, Dark Grey, Crystal White, Sleek Silver, Electric Green, Sparkle Blue and Electric Red. Great names, gorgeous colours!
Space & storage?
The Hyundai is the definition of ‘Space-tastic’. Think:
- Front passenger seat back pocket
- Front passenger seat bag hook
- Rear storage net
- Centre floor consol with storage recess, cup holders, and removable ash tray
- Front door map pockets
- Rear coat hook (5-door only)
- Centre console dash storage compartment with lid.
If personified, who would the Hyundai i20 be?
Lady Gaga. Because the Hyundai has character and is a pocket rocket!
