The Beetle's Gone Bad Ass

If you thought you knew the Volkswagen Beetle, think again.

Like a true super star, she’s followed in the footsteps of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus (and every other butter wouldn't melt-in-your-mouth Disney star come to think of it) and had a sexy I'm-all-grown-up makeover. Yep, she’s shed her cute and sweet exterior and exchanged it for some serious bad ass attitude and leather accessories.

Forget the V-Dub Bug. Meet the new and improved Volkswagen E-Bugster, a sleek, sassy and sexy remodel of the beloved former Beetle. We know what you’re thinking – don’t fix what ain’t broken. But hear us out, sisters. The E-Bugster is a zero-emissions, electric dream machine, powered by an 85kW electric motor with plenty of sass for taking on the city streets. She’s a two seater that sits 90mm lower than the traditional Bug and is 30mm wider. Bigger is better, ladies.

And with the Bug’s new attitude, we’re guessing her interior will be featuring some serious black leather trimmings. Now that we’ve worked you up into a hot tizz, the bad news. There are no plans for the E-Bugster to go into production any time soon. But if Britney is anything to go by, the inaccessibility of the new model will definitely go on to cause quite a stir in the media regardless and let's face it - we'll all still love her.
