Hyundai & Blue September - Men Facing Up To Cancer

For the second year Hyundai Motor Company Australia and the Hyundai dealer network are joining forces to support Blue September a nationwide awareness and fundraising initiative about men facing up to cancer. 

Blue September seeks to raise awareness and funds for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation and Bowel Cancer Australia, as well as helping men reduce the risk of developing cancer by getting the message out that making healthy lifestyle choices can prevent male cancer deaths.

The Hyundai dealer network has pledged to contribute $10 to Blue September for every Hyundai sold in the month of September. In addition, Hyundai Motor Company Australia will be giving Blue September $1,000 for every goal scored^ in this weekend’s Hyundai A-league matches.

To encourage donations to Blue September, Hyundai is giving one lucky donor the chance to drive away in an all-new blue i20 Elite hatch valued at $20,810* simply by visiting www.blueseptember.org.au and making a minimum $10 cash donation online. Promoted on Channel Ten’s ‘The 7PM project’ the competition will run from September 1st - 24th with the handover taking place live on The 7PM Project on October 1st.

Blue September and the Hyundai A-League

The whole family can get involved with Blue September over the Father’s Day weekend, when all Hyundai A-League teams will have extra incentive to shoot for the net with Hyundai giving $1,000 for every goal scored^ in all week five matches played 3rd - 5th September.

The Blue September 2010 program will launch on September 1st in a Gala event to be held in Melbourne where Hyundai Ambassadors and Hyundai A-League star John Aloisi, Hyundai Ambassador and actor Rodger Corser will be on hand to show their support for the cause.

The 3rd September is Blue Friday, the day that all Australians are being encouraged to GET BLUE! Australians can get behind Blue Friday by painting their faces blue or wearing something blue to show their support for Blue September.
