The Cute Italian is coming to town
Alfa Romeo. The whole phrase just oozes sex appeal, doesn't it? Well this shiny (I prefer red) little bundle of madcap fun is about to roar up to a dealership near you in July.
Anyone with a penchant for all things Italian, will find amore in this slick, not-so-little sportscar. It's billed as an ultra-sporty small car, so bit more size and safety is inherent here. Available in 5 or 6-speed manual transmission as standard, the MiTo has a 1.4 litre engine, is front-wheel drive, comes with alloy wheels, and comes in either MiTo or MiTo Sport.
Sexy and Safe: it's Amore!
Coming in a petrol version only, the MiTo (short for Milan and Torino, the home of Alfa), will be offered as a 3-door hatchback. Technologically, Alfa has developed a special ESC (electronic stability control) system that is first in class. It controls the engine, brakes, steering response, suspension and gearbox. It's designed to achieve the highest EuroNCAP rating (5 stars) and would be expected to achieve the same ANCAP rating here in Australia.
Prices are still TBA, but we understand from our friends at Alfa Romeo that people will be pleasantly surprised and that Alfa Romeo "has a real value for money reputation across its range.
