My real name is...
Nunya Biznez that's a secret, lol.
My most embarrassing moment was...
Being on stage during my time in Dusty. Tasmin (who played Dusty) and I had to sing a song I know like the back of my hand. It was mum's single when I was five – Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself. Anyway, one day in front of 3,000 people, yours truly had a brain fart and totally forgot the words and melody of the song I had sung at least 600 times before too funny. NOT! My 'acting' kicked in and so I did what I was trained to do – CRY... lol!
My favourite song of all time is...
This is a hard question there are a lot of songs that I really love but I will try and pick one hmmm – Love's In Need of Love Today by Stevie Wonder.
My favourite movie of all time is...
This one's easy. It has to be Berry Gordy's production of the Billie Holiday story Lady Sings the Blues, starring Diana Ross and Miss Holiday.
Things I like to do in my free time include...
Free time what's that? Only kidding. I like to drive around in this fantastic Lexus Jeep Lexus have let me borrow for eight days if it didn't have a tracking system in it, I'd run far, far away haha.
Something you probably don't know about me is...
I don't eat meat. I don't use chemicals in my house in any form to clean with and I love my Dyson vacuum cleaner. No really I do. I even took the thing on tour with me last year your carpet can never be too clean. I know that's sad, but funny.
My favourite song on my new album is...
That's easy: Too Darn Hot. I love that song. Ella Fitzgerald sang it first in 1956 and she tore it up (tore it up is a good thing). I love what the song has to say and it's so cheeky for that time in history – go Ella.
Who I look up to/see as inspiring...
I don't really look up to any one person. There are numerous people that I have met throughout my life, and also heard about through history that I admire. Now with some luck and good health, I hope there will be many more to meet. I guess I'm trying to say that humankind inspires me. And I look up at the sun and the moon.
I own a...
Honda Jazz, three years old... Jazzmin Toot Toot – that's my car's nickname.
My dream car is...
What I am driving RIGHT NOW for EIGHT DAYS!!. The Yummy Lexus Jeep. It's got a serious sound system in it. Made for a real music-head like me, I wish I could never wake from this eight-day dream.
Things I love...
Happy people, sunshine, peace, animals, laughter, a full moon, shooting stars, weeping willows (the trees), truth, babies and love.
Thinks I hate...
Deceit, cruelty in any form, war and greed.
I would love to work with...
Stevie Wonder, Jill Scott, India Arie and Donnie.
My 'words of wisdom' are...
Be true to yourself and if it don't feel right, don't do it.
For me personally, the highlight of my career was...
Working with James Morrison on this project of ours. It has been amazing! And then some more things that are yet to happen that as of yet, I cannot see.
What is it like having your mum in the industry?
I know no different. Mum is just mum.
Anything else you'd like to add Deni?
Thanks to Autochic for the opportunity to be involved and to test-drive this great car. Peace out.
If you were wondering what she's talking about with test-driving the car, check out her review on the Lexus xxx.
