Toyota Touch Life reflects iPhone screen

The constant "Are we there yet?" question may soon become a thing of the past - that is if Toyota has anything to do with it.
Taking in-car-entertainment to a whole new level, Toyota is soon to introduce the Toyota Touch Life - a screen that reflects your iPhone larger-than-life on the dashboard of your car, allowing for internet connectivity, satellite-navigation, weather forecasts, breaking news, music and video functionality and social media interactivity. Think Facebook and Twitter on the road.
To be released in Australia by Toyota at an undisclosed date sometime in the future, this applied science isn't necessarily unique to Toyota - it was in fact created by collaborations between both vehicle and electronic companies including Volkswagen, Hyundai, General Motors, Honda Mercedes Benz, Peugeot and Citroen and Samsung, Sony, LG, Nokia, HTC, Panasonic, Garmin and Motorola.
Yet within these exciting new robotics, the question must be raised about safety - will this gaiety take focus off the road, ultimately putting drivers, passengers and pedestrians at risk? Defending the new gadgetry, Toyota's position was clear, with the carmaker claiming "the user has to be responsible for their action". Buyer beware.
