Could this be the future of travel? Making the Patridge Family green with envy is this gorgeous Airstream trailer, designed and created by MINI Cabrio with a little help from Airstream and totally kitted out on the inside by renowned interior design brand, Republic of Fritz Hansen.
 
Dipping its toe into the stylistic future of travel, this has got to be the ultimate holiday vehicle. Apart from the distinctive down-by-the beach feel, details include the use of surfer-dude 'wetsuit' neoprene, fresh colours and flower prints, and the option of opening up the trailer on one side and making yourself comfortable on a built-in sun-bathing bed.
 
This mobile "home from home" is perhaps Matthew McConaughey's dream come true - perfect for surfer dudes always hunting for the perfect wave at home or anywhere around the world.
 
Since it's not ordinarily available with a trailer coupling, the MINI Cooper S Clubman had to be specially modified to fulfill its role in this adventurous concept.
 
The design study will be unveiled to the public for the first time at the INTERNI Design Energies exhibition taking place during the internationally renowned Salone del Mobile furniture show in Milan on 22 - 27 April 2009.
