Shopaholic and Baby by Sophie Kinsella

The gist
Becky's life is blooming! She's working at London's newest fashion store ('The Look'), house-hunting with husband Luke (her secret wish is a shoe room)... and she's pregnant! She couldn't be more overjoyed - especially since discovering that shopping cures morning sickness.
Everything has got to be perfect for her baby: from the designer nursery to the latest, coolest pram, to the celebrity, must-have obstetrician. But when the celebrity obstetrician turns out to be her husband Luke's glamorous, intellectual ex-girlfriend, Becky's perfect world starts to crumble.
Our verdict
This is our favourite book in the Shopaholic series! Every single page grabs you and allures you to read more... and more.
We were in hysterics over the witty writing, and in gasp mode about the man-stealing ex trying to steal Becky's hubby! It's all very 'Desperate Housewives' and we love it!
The author, Sophie Kinsella, has written it in such a way that you feel you're chatting with your bestie as you read it; so much so that we felt sick in our stomachs for Becky when she suspects her hubby is having an affair (the scenes are written so well, you feel like you're there). Sophie draws you in and it's simply perfect.
