AutoChic: Good morning, AutoChic-ers. Today we have the pleasure of speaking to the Mercedes Benz B-Class, which recently received an ANCAP rating making it the safest car in Australia. Welcome, Mercedes Benz B-Class.
MBBC: Hi AutoChic, such a pleasure to be here. Can’t tell you how much I love your site!
AutoChic: Oh stop it, we're blushing! So, let’s talk safety. Are you Australia’s safest vehicle?
MBBC: I sure am! I recently underwent ANCAP testing and received 36.78 out of 37.
AutoChic: Jeez Louize! That’s near perfect!
MBBC: Indeed! Because of this score, I have the highest safety rating of any vehicle in Australia.
AutoChic: How did you manage that?
MBBC: Well, the rating was carried over from the European NCAP and rated against our ANCAP testing. While I feature standard safety technologies, I also have some pretty nifty technologies including a collision warning system which alerts the driver if a crash is impending and preloads the breaks to stop quicker.
AutoChic: My, that’s fancy! These types of safety assist technologies are becoming more mandatory in ANCAP testing, so you’re quite ahead of your time, aren’t you Mercedes-Benz B-Class?
MBBC: Well, it’s all part and parcel of making sure my passengers get from A to B safely and soundly. It’s an honour to be at the pinnacle of Australia’s safety standard because safety comes first, but as Spiderman says, “With great power, comes great responsibility.”
