So you've heard of eco-friendly chocolate fuel and orange peel biofuel, but have you ever in your wack-est dreams imagined using alage for fuel? Some genius scientists from American renewable fuel company Sapphire Energy certainly have...
They claim they have created a high-octane fuel made from algae, sunlight, carbon dioxide and non-potable water that is chemically identical to crude oil. They call it 'green crude'.
They say that "the resulting gasoline is completely compatible with current infrastructure, meaning absolutely no change to consumer's cars".
It's also carbon neutral, renewable, and doesn't require food crops or agricultural land.
It sounds like a perfecto solution! Let's hope they get it on the market asap!
