Cardboard Bicycle

You've heard of hydrogen and fuel cell cars, trucks that run on chocolate biodiesel, chic electric scooters, cars that run on water, and now you can add cardboard bicycles to the list of green solutions...

That's right... this innovative bike is made from tough industrial cardboard, which has a honeycomb core. Sweet.

The brain behind it? A 21-year-old design student from Sheffield Hallam University by the name of Phil Bridge, who says he can make more for the public and sell them for around $30 each.

The gist is that people can try the bike to see if they like riding around in general (instead of cranking out carbon dioxide, etc. from their cars), and if they're stuck like glue with the bike idea, can then upgrade to a 'normal' bike, or one made from bamboo or wood.

Sounds like a great idea but just don't get stuck in the rain or you'll need more than stickytape and staples to keep it all together...
