Shopping that doesn't cost the earth

Green shopping bag = better for environment. Blah, blah, blah. We get it. But what we actually do find hard to get is remembering to bring them to the supermarket.
Well, a big gold star goes to UK company 'Bags of Change', who have come up with a way to do just that.
Bring one of their funky-chic organic hemp-cotton or Amazonian latex bags (£14.85; around AU$32) into any of their 50 participating stores to receive a 5-10 per cent discount on local, organic and Fairtrade goods.
Yep, we're talking discounts on anything from organic veggie soup, vitamins, beauty products and knitting yarn, to organic cotton bed linen, stationary, books and Fairtrade baby gifts. We love it! And obviously you do too...
Consumers voted the bags as the 'Best Green Company' and also as runner-up in the 'Best Newcomer' category at the 2007 consumer-judged Green England Awards.
