Kia Launches Kia Assurance

In a first for a motor vehicle distributor in Australia, Kia Motors Australia has today launched Kia Assurance, a vehicle insurance product for new Kia vehicle owners providing peace of mind should they become involuntarily unemployed.

In these uncertain times, consumers are reappraising their buying decisions and focussing more on their 'needs' purchases and less on 'wants' purchases.  With this in mind, Kia Motors Australia has launched Kia Assurance to help reassure new Kia customers during these uncertain economic times.

Alan Crouch, National Sales Manager at Kia Motors Australia said, "Protecting our customers has always been our priority at Kia.  Just as we offer the protection of an unlimited kilometre 5-year warranty across our range, we believe Kia Assurance will help to protect new Kia buyers and offer them further peace of mind when they buy a new Kia on finance during these uncertain times.

"If someone has decided they need a new car for themselves or their family, the security of Kia's unlimited kilometre 5-year warranty and the certainty of Kia Assurance means there has never been a better time to buy a new Kia."

Participating Kia dealerships will offer private buyers who purchase a new or demonstrator Kia vehicle on certain types of vehicle finance before 30 June 2009 the option of returning the car if they involuntarily lose their primary source of income during the next twelve months.

Kia Assurance is an insurance product designed in Australia by Swann Insurance (Aust) Pty Ltd and Walkaway Australia Pty Ltd.

Damon O'Shea, Director, Walkaway Australia Pty Ltd said, "This product has been available in Australia for 15 months and has seen much success.  We are very excited that together with Kia Motors Australia this product will now be available to car buyers throughout Australia for the first time."

Kia Assurance is available on all new and demonstrator Kia vehicles purchased before 30 June 2009, starting with Rio currently priced from $13,490 driveaway through to the top-of-the-line Kia Grand Carnival people mover at $53,990 recommended retail price plus registration and on-road costs.

Kia Assurance is available through participating Kia dealerships from Wednesday, 13 May 2009.
