Proton has announced drive-away pricing across its entire range for a limited time.

With the support of their parent company in Malaysia, Proton Cars Australia's return to drive-away pricing will see the value for money 1.3L G spec S16 available for $11,990 drive-away, maintaining its position as the lowest cost new car on the Australian market, while the rest of the Proton range will also feature better value thanks to drive-away prices.

Despite volatile international exchange rates, Proton has taken the chance to gain a competitive advantage over its opponents in the new car market and is confident few other manufacturers will be able to follow its lead.

According to Proton Cars Australia general manager sales and operations Billy Falconer, the company's quest to deliver the best value for money in the Australian market continues and has been underlined by this move to drive away pricing.

"This offer will give new car buyers even more competitive prices on new Protons and provide the opportunity to buy a new car with Proton's high standard of ride and handling thanks to Lotus engineering and also receive free 24 hours roadside assistance," says Billy.

"The last of the Savvy and Jumbuck models are now in run out with Savvy manual now priced from $12,990 drive away and Jumbuck GLi now priced from $14,990 drive-away while stocks last.

"To ensure we maintain competitive pricing across the entire Proton line up, our prices have also been slashed on the rest of the range with Satria Neo now priced from $13,990 drive-away, Persona priced from $14,990 drive-away and Gen.2 now priced from $15,990 drive-away.

"When you compare these drive-away prices with our current recommended retail pricing, customers have the potential to save thousands on their purchase of a brand new car, however this offer will only be available while current stocks last so buyers will need to be quick or you could miss out."
