How to make yourself invisible. Ingredients: one male (husband, partner, friend etc) plus one male salesperson. Go to a car dealership and voila! You're invisible. Observe in abhorrent silence as two primates stake their superiority over the other on mechanical knowledge. No matter how vociferous you may be, the primates continue to debate endlessly about how fast a car can reach zero to a hundred. There's no need to point out the obvious - that we have hoon laws and speed limits as this will only fall on deaf ears. Nor is there any point in saying that you're purchasing a car for safety reasons, not drag racing. Comments like these are too logical for them. Just walk away, go to your car and SMS your male companion, that either he comes to the car now or you'll be leaving without him.
