The Sydney Morning Herald's Drive pull-out ran a story on 'What Women Want' and of course AutoChic and our Car of the Year Awards were mentioned.

Did you know that women aged between 20 and 30 buy more new cars than young men? And according to Chalisa Morrison, a senior designer with Toyota women, "Imagine themselves in a car and think about whether it suits their image and whether it's somewhere they'd like to spend time and bring their friends"...

"Central to these trends is the internet where sites like www.autochic.com.au make room for young women to shape the way the industry treats them, even if the sites lean forward on the pink, fluffy gender card...  "

Morrison says information about cars is no longer hard to find nor intimidating for a young buyer who's familiar with the internet.

Hmmmmm. Are we really all that 'pink and fluffy or are we just not talking blokey and technical? Do you think we are 'leaning on the gender card'? Tell us here!
